Border Laird
Border Laird's main activities are the production of fresh and frozen whole scampi and king scallops. Throughout the years it has won a reputation for "quality" product second to none.
The shellfish processed and sold from their site at Amble, Northumberland is caught in local waters during the autumn and winter months and supplemented from the west coast in the spring and summer months.
Refrigerated transport links to the factory means that the shellfish arrives within 2 3 hours of landing, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved.
Processing is undertaken 7 days a week, ensuring that the shellfish is handled quickly to maintain freshness and quality.
It is either packed on ice or frozen down in bespoke packaging dependant upon individual requirements. It is then distributed throughout the UK and exported to France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
