Cumbrian Seafoods Makes Worthy Finalist!
All sectors of the seafood industry gathered together on 22nd March to celebrate the 2007 Seafood Awards, held at the Marriott Hotel in London’s Grosvenor Square.
Cumbrian Seafoods entered for the first time and although we did not triumph, two of the products were finalist in the ‘Best New Seafood Product – Whitefish.’ – Tescos’ lightly dusted lemon sole and Morrisons’ Beer Battered Haddock.
As well as two products being recognised, the company entered the hotly contested ‘Sustainable Future’ award. Seafish commented that, "it is only fitting that Cumbrian Seafoods have made the final three in the ‘Sustainable Future’ category of the Seafood Awards, having long been committed to sustainable practices.
